Registers and Clinical databases

The national clinical databases include, among others, the orthopaedic surgical registers and databases. In these databases and registers are registered a number of different parameters related to patient treatment. By this is obtained a special possibility to make a weighty examination and evaluation of the clinical treatment initiatives.

The clinical research done by the Orthopaedic Surgical Research Group at Aarhus University Hospital is partly based on The Danish Alloplastic Register and its subdatabase, The Ganz Database. This research is done in close cooperation with the Department of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Aarhus.
